If you have an existing Weatherzone Ad-Free or Pro account, there may be times when you find your paid account features are not activated on the app (eg. ads are still showing or Pro features are still locked). This can happen when:
- You are setting up a new phone.
- You are re-installing the Weatherzone app after having previously deleted it.
- You have recently installed an update to your iOS or Android operating system.
Resolving the issue
You will need to restore the connection between your account and the Weatherzone app.
- In the app, tap the Menu icon in the tab bar and then select My Subscription. You may see a screen like this:
- If you previously purchased a subscription via the weatherzone.com.au website, then tap
Log In and enter in your Weatherzone username and password. If successful, you should see an updated My Subscription screen confirming your name, email and your purchased subscription level. You're good to go! ✅ - If you previously purchased the app via the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, then please tap the Restore Purchase button. For iOS, tap Apple ID on the next screen. The app should restore your account. ✅
-
- If there was a problem, you may see a message that says "Nothing to Restore. You have no subscriptions to restore or your subscription has expired." This may occur if your subscription auto-renewal has expired. Please check that the App Store recognises the subscription against your iOS/Android profile.
The iOS guide for managing subscriptions can be found here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph3dfd91de/ios. The Android guide can be found here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7673989. If required, you may need to re-enter in your credit card details if your card has expired.
Once you have re-established your subscription, restart the process in this FAQ to re-establish a connection between your account and the Weatherzone app. ✅

- If you were able to successfully restore your account, but are still unable to see your subscription account features, some users have found success by:
- Restarting their device.
- Deleting the app and reinstalling it.
- Clearing the Weatherzone app data and then restarting the process in this FAQ (there are no official guides from iOS or Android, but there are forums posts that provide step-by-step guides based on specific OS and/or device combinations).
